Ddiaz Design opens the year 2023 of the papercraft by announcing Ferrari Testarossa, a two-seater 2-door Berlinetta sports car designed by Pininfarina, being presented at the 1984 Paris Motor Show and characterized by its design and its powerful engine.
The classic angular design of the 80s models fits perfectly with the search for a simplified geometry to integrate details in a papercraft model.
One of the innovative aspects that the Testarossa model brings are its retractable headlights, allowing both variants to be found in the pieces, one with the headlights up and the other with the headlights hidden.
The main challenge when assembling the Testarossa papercraft model is in the mirrors, for delicate parts such as exhausts, mirrors, wheels or headlights, it is recommended to make a wooden or cardboard reinforcement inside the model.
The papercraft Testarossa model reduces the number of printed pages, unfolding the 39.4cm mode in 13 pages A4, and the 59.2cm in 25 pages A4.
With the creation of the Testarossa model, two standards sizes were seted, 60cm for those who enjoy very large models and 40cm as the recomended version, a little cheaper and easier to assemble.
Ddiaz Design standardizes new video formats, a preview video to show how the model will look, an instructions video that handle the same format as the PDF, and finally a Making-of video to show the assembling process of the model.
The Testarossa papercraft model evokes nostalgia for car lovers by integrating one of the most important Ferrari classics of the 1980s.
