PAPERCRAFT TEXTURING PROCESS

We are back with the Lamborghini Urus project in Papercraft, the last time we could see a finished blank model with quick textures applied, looking for a visual approximation of the union between model and high quality textures. The sample gave a very positive result, which gave way to the realization of high quality textures for the model, in this post we will see the first official advance of the process of textures applied to the papercraft model of the Lamborghini Urus. Due to the high complexity of details that the real model of the Urus presents, the texturing phase is fundamental, through lights and shadows throughout the model, it is given the volume that recreates each small detail of the model, providing visual depth. to a completely flat surface, we see this in this first preview that shows the textures corresponding to the front area of ​​the model.

Lighter texture files

With the development of different models, it has been possible little by little to reduce the number of files that load the textures of the model, at this point it is being sought that all the details can be integrated into a maximum of 3 images, with that the PDF files and PDO will be less heavy and easier to edit, downloads will take less time and fewer resources will be needed to load and display the models properly. The textures are made from scratch using different references of the model with different lighting, with this the best lighting system can be determined so that the model textures present an adequate volume. As always the textures are made in Illustrator, mixing the real shapes with the shapes of the 3d model for Papercraft, it is necessary to take this into account to adapt lines and curves of the car that in real life may look slightly different from the model.

Premium Model

The Papercraft model of the Lamborghini Urus is going to be premium as has always been announced, for the moment it will not have a free download option and will only be released when it completes the assembly instructions booklet, a survey will be carried out on social networks to determine if the model deserves more than one color or is left solely in its renowned yellow hue.
